An immersive journey where women, nature, and community converge to shape a more sustainable future.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - SINGAPORE – May 2026

In July 2026, Her Planet Earth will lead a curated group of women on an immersive impact journey to Fiji - bringing participants directly into the frontlines of climate resilience, community-led conservation, and women-driven solutions.

Taking place from 21-26 July 2026, this six-day experience offers a rare opportunity to move beyond awareness and into lived understanding - engaging directly with the people and ecosystems shaping real climate action on the ground.

This journey marks Her Planet Earth’s 18th global journey, and a meaningful evolution of its work.

Not a test of physical endurance, but a deep dive into connection, learning, and impact.

A Different Kind of Journey
This is not a challenge-driven program.
It is an immersive, educational experience.

Participants will:

  • Harvest sea grapes alongside the Namuaimada Women’s Group, learning traditional practices and cultural knowledge

  • Support mangrove restoration efforts with local communities and understand nature-based climate solutions

  • Take part in reforestation initiatives led by women in Nanukuloa Village

  • Engage in village life, cultural exchange, and community-led innovation

As described in the journey materials, participants will experience “an immersive journey into the frontlines of climate resilience - where women, nature, and community come together to shape a more sustainable future.”

Why Fiji, Why Now
Fiji sits at the intersection of climate vulnerability and innovation.

Across its islands, communities are adapting to rising sea levels, changing ecosystems, and increasing climate pressures - often with limited resources, but deep-rooted knowledge and resilience.

A central focus of this journey is the role of seaweed as a regenerative solution.

Seaweed supports food security, strengthens livelihoods, restores marine ecosystems, and acts as a powerful natural carbon sink.

Equally important is who is leading this work.

Women are at the heart of these systems - managing resources, sustaining families, and driving local economies. When women have access to skills, income, and markets, the benefits extend far beyond the individual, strengthening entire communities.

A Mission Grounded in Impact
This journey is organised in support of Conservation International Fiji, whose work across the Pacific has been instrumental in protecting ecosystems while strengthening community livelihoods.

In Fiji, Conservation International partners with women in coastal villages to sustainably harvest and process seaweed, improve income opportunities, and build long-term resilience through training, infrastructure, and market access.

Participants will engage directly with these initiatives - turning travel into tangible support for livelihoods, ecosystems, and climate resilience.

While this is not a fundraising journey, each participant contributes directly to local impact through a dedicated donation, ensuring meaningful support on the ground.

Voices from the Field

“This journey is about shifting perspective - moving beyond awareness into understanding. When you spend time with the women and communities on the frontlines of climate change, you begin to see that the most powerful solutions are often local, regenerative, and deeply human. Our role is to listen, learn, and amplify.” - Christine Amour-Levar, Founder, Her Planet Earth

“Communities across the Pacific are already leading the way in building climate, environmental and economic resilience, especially among women and young people. Partnerships like this help shine a light on the vital but often overlooked work of women entrepreneurs while directing meaningful support to those driving change on the ground." - Bridget Kennedy, Deputy Director, for the Pacific Islands, Conservation International.

Connection, Reflection, and Renewal

Beyond the impact work, the journey offers space for connection and reflection.

Participants will explore Fiji’s pristine landscapes, hike through rainforest terrain, swim in waterfall pools, and spend time immersed in the natural beauty of the Pacific - alongside moments of rest, water activities, and shared experience.

This balance is intentional.

Because understanding the planet also requires reconnecting with it.

Part of a Larger Commitment

The Fiji Impact Journey is part of a broader 2026 partnership between Her Planet Earth and Conservation International.

The same initiatives supported through this journey will also be supported by:

  • An all-female North Atlantic sailing journey from Iceland to the Faroe Islands (August 2026)

  • The Japan Mountain to Sea journey (October 2026)

Together, these experiences form a connected narrative - linking extreme environments, community-based solutions, and the global movement to support women-led climate resilience.

Reframing the Experience

Her Planet Earth has taken women across some of the world’s most remote and demanding environments.

This journey marks a different evolution.

From endurance to immersion.
From challenge to connection.
From witnessing… to understanding.

Because meaningful climate action begins with awareness -
but it is shaped through experience.

About Her Planet Earth

Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Singapore, Her Planet Earth is a non-profit organisation and global women’s advocacy movement working at the intersection of female empowerment and environmental conservation. Through bold, self-funded expeditions to some of the world’s most remote and threatened regions - from the Arctic to the Antarctic - the organisation raises awareness for sustainability while directing funds to projects that strengthen climate resilience for women and communities on the frontlines of environmental change.

Her Planet Earth supports a diverse portfolio of initiatives spanning wildlife conservation, regenerative agriculture, coral reef restoration, reforestation, seaweed farming, and community-based livelihood development across Asia-Pacific, the Himalayas, the Middle East, and Africa.

Each program is designed to strengthen the resilience of women whose lives and communities are most vulnerable to the impacts of climate change - ensuring they have the resources, skills, and opportunities not only to adapt, but to thrive and lead within their ecosystems. Bringing together a global network of adventurers, scientists, feminists, and changemakers, Her Planet Earth is redefining what climate action can look like - mobilising resources, elevating women’s leadership, and proving that environmental protection and gender equality are strongest when advanced together.

About Conservation International

Conservation International protects nature for the benefit of humanity. Through science, policy, fieldwork and finance, we spotlight and secure the most important places in nature for the climate, for biodiversity and for people. With offices in 30 countries and projects in more than 100 countries, Conservation International partners with governments, companies, civil society, Indigenous peoples and local communities to help people and nature thrive together.

Conservation International works with communities, industry and the Government of Fiji to protect forests, reefs, fisheries, and freshwater through a ridge-to-reef approach. Its work includes the Sovi Basin, Fiji’s largest terrestrial protected area, and the Lau Seascape, which covers about 8% of Fiji’s EEZ.

Conservation International partners with women-led seaweed cooperatives to strengthen income generation, improve processing capabilities, and expand market access - positioning women as leaders of regenerative, community-based economies.

The Team

The journey will bring together a carefully curated group of women from diverse nationalities, backgrounds, and stages of life - united by a shared desire to engage more deeply with climate action, community, and purpose.

Unlike traditional travel experiences, this is an immersive, hands-on programme. Participants will actively engage with local communities, contribute to conservation efforts on the ground, and learn directly from women leading climate resilience initiatives - while building meaningful connections with one another along the way.
